A 'fair' tax isn't that fair, how does it not favor the wealthy or hurt the ones who make less more? Communism looks pretty fair on paper too, progressive is where it needs to stay.

Tax hike on the wealthy to pay for healthcare, this has been the plan since he started running...its no secret, he's said he would raise taxes on the wealthy for awhile.

yet last week he said his BS plan could be funded simply by cutting out the fraud and unnecessary expenses associated with medicare

first question is if you can generate that much income from cutting medicare fraud.........why not do that first and show us something?

i think it works.........why should people be penalized for making the most of the opportunity theyve been afforded to pay for those who havent taken advantage?

That's assuming they deserve it. If people got paid based on their contributions to society, nurses/teachers would be millionaires and athletes would be on welfare.

Exactly...still haven't heard anything regarding why the rich shouldn't pay for the protection the poor offer them through military service....I mean, if everyone should get what they're owed, start forkin some cash my way and the way of everyone else that has served.

the point was that if you are bitching about beng poor.......its you of all people who should want to keep as much money in their pockets as possible and raising taxes will not do that

even if they dont decide to do it directly with an income tax increase......by increasing taxes on things we sue everyday like gas........it has the same effect on us

and those who are more well off have the resources to not have said increases affect tjem as much as those who dont
